How will OMH handle the transition process from rate codes to CPT codes?
Providers currently bill Medicare and managed care companies using CPT codes. Providers are now required to bill Medicaid using both a ratecode and procedure code. The eMedNY system (the Medicaid management billing system) will need to be reprogrammed to pay based on CPT codes. This process will affect all behavioral health agencies.
