How will Obamas Immigration Reforms play with racist Americans?
Probably about the same as his probation only reforms might play with those uncompassionate Americans who don’t fully “understand” that pedophiles are people too. Seriously…you’re an idiot. I presume you mean the same “racist” Americans that flocked to the polls for no other purpose than to “make history” by voting for a black man whose policies they had no comprehension of.
I am an immigrant. However, my family waited in line and respected the immigration laws. Why does my family have to obey the rules and the 12-20 million illegals don’t? Do you think granting amnesty will solve the problem? We may have greater border security but what about people flying in and overstaying their visas? We will have the same argument that the US is tearing families apart by deporting them. It will exacerbate the problem because now the world and primarily central/south America will know that the US doesn’t have the will to enforce their own laws. As an immigrant, I have lost respect for this country because it doesn’t apply the law consistently and rewards millions of people for breaking the law. And yes, granting citizenship to the US despite the “fines” is a reward. I know people who would pay tens of thousands for citizenship here if they could buy it.
