The settlement agreement provides that the environmental analyses must analyze sufficiently the following impact topics: water quality; air quality; soundscapes; wildlife; wildlife habitat; shoreline vegetation; visitor conflicts; and visitor safety. However, additional issues and concerns may emerge during the internal scoping meetings and the NEPA public participation process. These issues include impacts to cultural resources, Native American sacred sites, environmental justice, and socioeconomic effects. During the internal scoping session NPS will discuss the degree to which these issues apply in each unit and the level of impact analysis necessary for them.
