How will non-impaired waterbodies or watersheds be treated in this TMDL process?
Those segments adjacent to an impaired segment will be assigned an allocation in the TMDL. While some local waters (segments) may not be impaired, nutrients and sediments entering these waters from the watershed contribute to the poorer water quality conditions (impaired) of other nearby tidal segments. Therefore, these associated watersheds will have assigned allocations.
