How will natural environmental impacts be addressed?
Natural environmental impacts will be identified along with other social, economic and technical impacts. With respect to the natural environmental impacts an existing inventory of the natural environment is contained in the Existing Conditions Report (Appendices to the Alternatives to the Undertaking Report). Natural environmental impacts were assessed for all of the route alternatives and are documented in the Natural Environmental Technical Memo (Appendix E of the Alternative Methods Report). As we move forward with the preliminary design for the Technically Preferred Route , impacts on the natural environment will be further assessed and an array of mitigation strategies will be identified, evaluated and recommended for the TPR. This information will be presented to the public at the next round of Public Information Centres.
