Minimally, if at all. KeyServer requires no knowledge of its presence on the part of the end user, and while an administrator can use KeyServer to post informative message or limit applications by timed usage or other means, many sites prefer KeyServer to be invisible. KeyServer’s contact with the client is nearly instantaneous on even the largest and busiest of networks, and at many sites users are unaware that their software is under KeyServer’s control.
