How will my points be scored on the day I reach the maximum number of innings pitched for the season?
Toward the end of the season, you may encounter a situation where you are close to the maximum number of innings allowed by your league (e.g. you may have 5 innings left from your maximum) and have the opportunity to start some pitchers with the expectation that you will exceed the limit. In this case, all the innings you accumulate in that day of scoring night will accumulate points for your team. This is due to the imprecise nature of real time scoring. There is virtually no way of ensuring that only some pitchers will score for your team on that night while others won’t. There is no official scoring that includes time of last pitch, and no general rule for which pitcher’s line becomes official at what time. So due to these factors, all the stats from all the pitchers you start on that night will be included in your night’s scoring. However, from the next day on, you will no longer score pitching points for the rest of the season.
