How will my Lotus Notes calendar entry affect the rooms Ive booked? What happens if there are back to back meetings scheduled in the resource database?
If resources are booked through the calendar then those resources will be rescheduled by the agent that adjusts the user’s mail files, or when the meeting is rescheduled manually. This could result in either accurate or inaccurate loss of a reservation which will trigger a decline notification from the resource. Since the agent cannot run simultaneously on all mail files, some conflicts are inevitable. Resources booked directly in the resource database will be updated by the agent that Domino Administrator will run to update all Room and Reservations databases that individual departments are using. Users can also manually reschedule the rooms.
