How will Muhlenberg restrict future uses of Social Security Numbers?
(1) Muhlenberg follows, and will continue to follow, all legal requirements for use of Social Security Numbers. The SSN is handled in a confidential manner and will not be published or used as the primary identifier to access records. (2) Access to the SSN will be limited to those offices and individuals needing to complete required federal and state mandates. (3) Following the initial conversion procedure, all requests for access to the SSN for individuals and/or systems must be formally made through the Registrar.
