How will MRTU and the SaMC settlement statements change my back-office settlement procedures?
The ISO’s transition to an LMP market in its MRTU intitiate involves a complete redesign of not only its markets, but also its systems. Included in the market redesign is the adoption by the ISO of their new SaMC settlement system. This new settlement system will deliver settlement files in a completely new XML format. ISO scheduling coordinators will need to update their processes and procedures to incorporate the new SaMC settlement statements, and the new charge types that will accompany the MRTU transition. Additionally, back-office procedures that reference the existing SI templates will need to be updated to refer to the new SIBR output.
