How will MoldTech help with my clayball problem?
Clayballs occur when temper water is concentrated unevenly in the bentonite clay, either because of insufficient mulling/mixing time or because the bentonite is non-uniform in its ability to rehydrate. MoldTech works at the molecular level to alter the ionic bonding characteristics of the bentonite clay platelets to improve their ability to attract and absorb water. This improved ability to attract and absorb water provides for greater clay particle uniformity and dispersion in the green sand system with a corresponding reduction in clayballs.
