How will mediators be able to become IMI Certified?
Mediators may take an IMI-approved training course with an REE. Successful completion will generate the required IMI Training Credits. Mediators will then build up IMI Education, Experience and Leadership Credits which will entitle them to IMI Certification. Mediators who already have the required Training, Education, Experience and Leadership Credits can apply for IMI Certification without further steps other than agreement to have existing feedback into an IMI Feedback Digest. IMI Certified Mediators will be able to follow a special IMI-approved course provided by an REE which will qualify for IMI Intercultural Certification. The standards and criteria for these courses will be established by IMI on the advice of its independent Standards Commission.
