How will mediation-providing bodies benefit from IMI?
Quality mediation providers will be able to apply to be formally recognized by IMI as an REE (Recognized Educational Establishment). Standards and criteria for this recognition will be set by IMI based on recommendations by its independent Standards Commission. Quite apart from being seen by users as meeting IMI’s standards and criteria, REEs will be well-positioned to help their mediators to become IMI Certified. Moreover, REEs will be able to offer any IMI Certified mediators (not just those who are listed on their panel) the service of preparing their Feedback Digests, for which they may charge fees. REEs will be entitled to include a hyperlink on IMI’s website for those users who wish to use administered services for their mediations.
