How will law enforcement enforce the loss of right to possess firearms?
Both possession and purchase of a firearm by a person found incompetent to stand trial, involuntarily admitted to a facility or ordered to mandatory outpatient treatment, or by a person who agrees to voluntary admission who is the subject of a temporary detention order constitute a class 1 misdemeanor. How and to what extent law enforcement and Commonwealths Attorneys will enforce this new law is a matter within their judgment.
