How will KeyServer affect network performance?
The presence of the KeyServer is invisible to end users regardless of network size, as KeyServer can control access to hundreds of applications running on networks of tens of thousands of clients without perceptibly adding to network response time. KeyServer packets are small and very low-level, as well as being limited to the minimum size and frequency required. In cases where the presence of KeyServer lets an administrator confidently move applications from file servers to users’ local disks, the administrator may in fact see an improvement in network response.
