As large land users they will have to pay higher site rents than your average small hardware store, helping to restore the balance, moving us towards re-localisation. • Consumers, having more disposable income, would not be forced any longer to opt for the cheapest product, and would be in a position to take ethical decisions on what they do and do not buy. • The result of this would be that any MNC’s which were using unethical practices would lose sales against more ethical competitors • If MNC’s had production sites in this country they would have to offer higher wages to hold their workforce, which they could may struggle to do whilst remaining competitive.
