How will IFMP assist NASA in implementing the Presidents Management Agenda?
NASA Administrator Sean O’Keefe has made implementing the President’s Management Agenda (PMA) one of his primary goals. The PMA is a White House initiative developed to improve management across the federal government. The PMA includes several major themes, but chief among them is the need for government agencies to exercise disciplined financial management. One of the goals of the PMA is to link budget with performance to develop a results-driven approach to financial management. At NASA, IFMP implementation is already helping to fulfil the PMA. With the Resume Management rollout completed, NASA is already experiencing some of the benefits IFMP will provide. The Travel Manager module, coming soon, will provide travelling staff and managers effective tools for managing travel budgets and streamlining travel requisition processes.
