How will I receive year-end information for tax filing?
By January 31st of each year, we will mail you the annual IRS Form 1098 with the total figures for the previous calendar year. It provides all your mortgage information necessary for income tax purposes. If you earn interest on your escrow account, we will also mail you an IRS Form 1099-INT statement of interest. HSBC is legally required to report to the IRS the annual amount of interest paid and interest earned on your account. The information is also available on HSBC’s Internet Banking service.
