How will I know that the message I receive is an official emergency notification from UVic?

All official UVic emergency email messages will be sent from the email address emergency@uvic.ca. They will contain the text “UVic Emergency Alerts” in the subject line. If the message is a test of the system, it will contain the text “TEST – UVic Emergency Alerts” in the subject line. Emergency voicemail messages will be sent from UVic’s Emergency Information Line. The number will display as 8620.
