How will I know if Im eligible for Tier III benefits?
All potentially eligible claimants who have exhausted existing benefits will be contacted by the Kansas Department of Labor. Watch your mail for this information the application for Tier III EUC must be returned within seven days of receipt. When the application has been processed, a determination notice will be mailed to the claimant indicating whether he or she was determined to be eligible for benefits. Once the processing of Tier III claims has begun, individuals who exhaust either their Tier II benefits or EB benefits and may be eligible for Tier III will not need to complete a new application. KDOL will automatically review their claim information and make a determination as to their eligibility for Tier III and a determination notice will be mailed to them.
