The progressive introduction of the new doctoral programmes will lead to the discontinuation of programmes that are structured in accordance with Royal Decree 778/1998. However, discontinuation will be a gradual process. If you still have not obtained minimum research capacity at the time of the approval of the new degrees, you will have a maximum of two academic years, as of the start of the discontinuation of the programme, to do so. Otherwise, you will have to apply for admission to a university master’s degree programme related to the doctoral programme, and finish the formative stage within this programme. Once the master’s degree has been obtained, you may gain access to the new doctoral courses, with the approval of the academic unit responsible.
