How will hunters know where the public land boundaries are?
Licensed conservation hunters with written permission to hunt on declared public land are given a map of the State forest. They are also strongly encouraged to purchase a detailed map of the area (these maps can be found at www.maps.nsw.gov.au) Boundaries will be highlighted using roads, creeks or lines on a map. In some cases where the State forest boundary is a gazette boundary, hunters will be expected to obtain a more detailed project map detailing exclusion zones and visible topographical features. Detailed topographical maps can be purchased from the Central Mapping Authority or from local State forest offices.
