How will FFFS affect Youth Employment Program funding in my county?
The FFFS will permit each county to design a TANF Youth Employment Program that meets its needs. Rather than distributing funds by local workforce investment area, the FFS will include, on a county-by-county basis, that portion of funds that previously had been allocated to predominantly larger geographic regions known as workforce investment areas. The FFS will permit for greater strategic planning on a county level and permit the use of funds to be targeted to areas most in need in that county.
