How will fee changes affect small firms?
We are always conscious of smaller firms’ ability to cope with large increases to their regulatory costs. Accordingly, we have kept fee increases low for small firms. We anticipate that around 82% of firms will see a decrease, no change, or an increase of less than 3% in their FSA periodic fee rates. On the Paying Fees section of our website, we have included examples of what the fees rates and levies will be for different types of firm. We are providing a clearer indication, through these examples, of what firms’ fees and levies will be, so they can budget more effectively.
