How will families be involved?

0

Families will be involved in several ways. First, the family involvement specified by local school policies and practices will continue through Online Disability Services (ODS). Each school in North Dakota offers a protocol for teachers to follow when referring children for speech-language services. These local school protocols describe family contact prior to assessment as well as specifying a process for developing IEPs when needed. Thus, schools will always have primary contact with the family. In this way, family involvement will be just the same as if the school employed the speech pathologist. Back to question list.
