The Graduate Certificate is formally equivalent to one semester of FT study. Hence while most PhD students complete their PhDs in 3.5 years (7 semesters), students who are awarded a CTS place will complete their PhD in 4.0 years, with the 8th semester of time allocated for the time required to complete the Graduate Certificate. Permission for concurrent enrolment in this coursework program will be granted.
