How will dust from the quarry operations be controlled?

0

As with all earth-moving projects, dust will be generated at the quarry. Brannan will control that dust using the following control strategies: (a) The unpaved roads will be regularly watered; (b) Water spray nozzles will be used on the crushers and conveyor systems; (c) All loaded haul trucks will be covered; (d) Up to 500 feet of the access drive from Highway 119 will be paved; (e) Grates or other devices will be installed in the access drive from Highway 119 to knock mud and dirt from the haul trucks; and (f) The access drive from Highway 119 will be routinely swept or washed. In addition, Brannan will shut down operations when the sustained wind speed in the area of operation, be it the processing area on the pit floor or the working face of the quarry, is 35 mph or greater.
