How will customers with a 385 area code need to dial calls?
Since two area codes (801 and 385) will serve the same region, customers with the 385 area code will also have to dial the area code for ALL calls. This means, if you have a 385 phone number and call another 385 phone number, you will have to dial the area code. You will no longer be able to dial just the seven-digit phone number.
