How will current General Recurrent Grant funding arrangements for non-government schools apply to the Colleges?
The Australian Government provides general recurrent funding grants to both government and non-government schools. Information on these funding arrangements can be obtained from the Australian Government Programmes for Schools Quadrennial Administrative Guidelines 2005 to 2008. Part 2.2 of these Guidelines covers grants for non-government schools, including the socioeconomic status (SES) funding arrangements. Information Guides for New Non-government Schools and Non-government Schools Undertaking Changes in Operation and associated application forms are available from the Department of Education, Science and Training’s website. In general, new non-government schools, as defined by governing State/Territory legislation, provide their February enrolments when lodging their new school application.
