CRD Parks will complete a number of activities to rehabilitate the ecosystems around Thetis lake: • Loosen compacted soils • Reseed or replant degraded areas with native vegetation • Remove invasive non-native plant species • Redesign trails so that routes are more clearly defined and lessen erosion from water run-off • Resurface trails with material that can withstand heavy traffic • Restrict human and dog access to sensitive areas (by physical fencing and encouragement of good choices through informational signs) • Formalize look-out and swimming access points • Install educational signs about visitor impacts
