How will communities be kept informed of the impact on them?
The RCMP will maintain open dialogue with communities to ensure that any secondments will not negatively impact security in their communities. Consultation is key in all decisions related to the resourcing of major events. Decisions about policing priorities within a province are made locally between the provinces and the RCMP Commanding Officer. Similar processes exist at the municipal level.
