How will communication be facilitated during the Study Tour, if the official language in Costa Rica is Spanish?
There will be trilingual interpreters joining us on the trip who are fluent in Spanish and ASL. They will be working in teams and students will be given an orientation on their roles and how to use them effectively. As part of the academic seminars, students will learn LESCO (the sign language of Costa Rica) and some basic Spanish and will be encouraged to use both LESCO and Spanish during the trip.
