How will childrens centres commission other services, will a tendering process be used, will potential providers approach the centre manager, or will there be referrals?
Children’s centres will commission services through a variety of means but will always comply with Contract Standing Orders of Hampshire County Council. Some commissioning will be carried out centrally by Children’s Centre Services (CCS), or via joint commissioning, taking advantage of joint opportunities where possible, while smaller focused pieces of work will be dealt with by the centre for the commissioning of local activities.
