How will children come to live at New Song?
Children will come to New Song with the voluntary consent of their parent and/or guardian when the family is in a crisis situation. Children and families will hear about New Song from family members, clergy, school personnel, medical professionals and other social service agencies. If children need help different than or beyond the scope of what New Song can offer, the child and family will be made aware of other agencies and services that may be able to help. New Song seeks to help rebuild the lives of children, so making sure children are a good fit for success is very important. There is a multi level referral process involving parents/caregivers, potential child, house parents and possible other staff prior to any child moving onto campus.
