How will children and parents find out about child protection policies in clubs?
If the club is affiliated to a National Governing Body it should have adopted the NGB child protection policy and will have made somebody responsibility for dealing with any concerns about child protection. Parents or children should ask someone with responsibility within the club, such as the chairman, secretary or a committee member, if it has a child protection policy and who deal with concerns. They should also speak to other adults and young people who go to the club, to see if they are happy and know what to do about concerns.
