How will carbonated soft drinks continue to grow?
Our long-term growth will continue to be led by the core carbonated soft drink brands of Coca-Cola, diet Coke, Sprite and Fanta, which today represent approximately 75% of volume and revenue. We continue to see growth in these brands and in 2003, revenue from our cola products in Australia and New Zealand grew by approximately 5%. This improvement was achieved through the launch of new brands (‘Cherry Coke’, ‘diet Coke’ with Vanilla), new packaging (mulit-pack PET bottles, ‘diet Coke’ silver bottle) and expanding cold drink availability (approximately 12,000 new cold drink coolers were placed in Australia and New Zealand in 2003). A focus in 2004 and 2005 on customer development (new and existing) and the more innovative use of technology will drive continued CSD growth. In Australia, the cusotmer contact centre has increased the frequency and quality of contact with our customers. By spending longer talking and listening to our customers, we can more accurately target forward sales op
