How will blasting and vibration affect nearby buildings?

0

Vibration sounds more dangerous than it is in reality. Buildings will be inspected on both sides of the tunnel route within about 200 metres to determine vibration values. Buildings’ sensitivity to damage depends on the type of foundation, materials, general condition etc. For example, at a distance of less than 100 metres, vibration under 10 mm/s does not generally cause damage. Buildings may even be able to withstand vibration up to 100 mm/s. Vibration from blasting will be constantly monitored with the help of vibration gauges. Limits will not be exceeded.
