Casting Blade Spirits or Energy Vortex sets you as the controller of the spell for the duration of the spell. If you are a Murderer and the spell damages an Innocent, you will be flagged as both Aggressor (to the Innocent) and Criminal. If the Innocent dies, he/she can report you. If the spell damages a Criminal or Murderer you are flagged as an Aggressor (to the Criminal/Murderer).
