How will Bartercard EFTPOS impact on our members?
Members who facilitate EFTPOS to process their Bartercard transactions will benefit through increased security – the possibility of providing goods or services to a purchaser who is not a valid cardholder or providing goods or services to a purchaser who is in possession of a lost or stolen card will be greatly reduced. Members who make sales through Bartercard enabled EFTPOS terminals will have the added benefit of having the funds cleared in their account almost immediately for their use. There will no longer be a need to complete the paper vouchers and wait for these to be processed – they simply need to swipe the card through their EFTPOS machine, and the funds are theirs.
