How will AYP be determined for schools that do not have grade levels that are tested?
When a school does not contain a grade that is tested, then its AYP status is determined by the school into which it feeds. The exceptions are K-2 and K-3 schools for which enrollment in EIP and a decrease in the percentage of EIP student from the previous school year will be used as the AYP academic measure. For “start-up high schools,” those with grade 9 or grade 9-10 only, attendance is the only available data and will be used to determine its AYP status.
