How will Australia handle transformation of IRDAs?

0

IP Australia will not charge a fee for transformation, and if the request is valid the international registration will be taken across at the same status and with the same priority date as the international registration was. For example; if it was an IRDA under examination it will be a national application under examination with the balance of the 15 month period, if it was an opposed IRDA, it will become an opposed national application with the opposition process continuing, and if it was a protected international trade mark it will be a national registration with the balance of the 10 year period before renewal is due.
