How will Amgen Scholars be compensated?
Through a grant managed by the Office of Undergraduate Advising and Academic Programming, Amgen Scholars working 40 hours per week earn $4,212 for the nine week period, based on $11.70 hourly. In addition, a meal allowance is provided to all Scholars. All Amgen Scholars will be provided summer housing at a designated on-campus residence hall, at no cost. Scholars electing to live elsewhere during the course of the Program must do so at their own expense. MIT Amgen Scholars selected for the leadership role of Program Associate will also be paid $1,000, in addition to their research pay.
