How Will Allen Iverson Impact the Memphis Grizzlies?
Memphis Grizzlies fans have reason to be more interested in the upcoming season than usual. What has generally been a history of consistently disappointing seasons in Memphis may at least be an interesting one in 2009-2010 for the Memphis. The team announced the signing of free agent Allen Iverson during the off season. Iverson is one of the decade’s most prolific scorers (arguably the top scorer of the decade if you look at his points per game average), and while he’s now 34 years old, is still one of the fastest players in the league. Iverson has consistently averaged over 25 points per game in every season of his career since 1998-1999, save for last season, which saw his numbers drop to 17.4 points per game during his 54 game stint in Detroit. Iverson clearly wasn’t a good fit in Detroit with the Pistons.
