How will Albertans benefit from Reach!?
There will be both immediate and long-term benefits stemming from Reach!: new programs within the Region will impact on patient care and community health; world-class clinician-scientists recruited at the University will also see patients in the Region, providing an enhanced level of care throughout the system; research and educational programs established through Reach! will better train existing and future physicians, students, researchers and other health sector practitioners; new technologies and treatments developed here will be implemented first in Alberta and then the world – also leading to potential commercialization opportunities; and, laboratory research conducted today will hopefully lead to new cures tomorrow.
