By providing educational opportunities for children we stop the cycle of fundamentalist indoctrination and they learn that there are other opportunities in life than a life of warfare. By providing healthcare to women and children in remote areas we strengthen the central government, reestablish American/Afghan bonds of friendship, and more importantly provide what the Taliban cannot.
