How will access to data within the Banner system be controlled?
One of the most important guiding principles of Project LINK is that we will consider data to be an institutional resource and shared as openly and freely as applicable laws and regulations will allow. Although this is a fairly dramatic change to the old ” need-to-know” philosophy, we recognize that some data-for example, personnel and student information-is highly confidential and we will build in security to limit access to this data.
