How will a unit in test mode be compensated for the generation produced?

0

A generator in test mode will be compensated through the real-time energy imbalance payment. The generator’s Qualified Scheduling Entity (QSE) will place the unit in test mode and send in an associated output schedule. The QSE may use a trade or self-schedule for settlement purposes to minimize exposure to resource energy imbalance. When in test mode, Security Constrained Economic Dispatch (SCED) will not move the generator except as noted in protocol sections 3.9.1, 3.9.2 & 6.5.7.8.
