How will a petty cash custodian show up in the database?
Petty cash custodians have not yet been loaded in the Oracle database. At this time they are still being maintained in Walker. Why isn’t the vendor name displayed? The vendor name is not displayed due to security reasons. The University has concerns about employees potentially misusing information. While the percentage of people who might intentionally misuse information may be very small, the University wants to take the necessary precautions. This translates into not being able to see the vendor from which you ordered goods. It also means that you cannot see the name of the individual receiving an employee reimbursement or a check request. In Phase II it is hoped that departments can access full information about their transactions. In the meantime, information can be displayed in a restricted view, which may include information specific to a department.
