How will a Centrex IP phone call differ from how voice calls are made and received now?

There is no difference to the end user. The main desktop end-user device will be the new IP Phone 2004. The phone is plugged into the enterprise’s Local Area Network via an Ethernet port and voice calling is as familiar and simple as always. We have designed the IP Phone 2004 to work on all of Nortel’s IP line-side service offerings. These include not only Centrex IP, but also the Enterprise products based on enhanced Meridian and Norstar systems.
