We were in need of a new label. We were out growing Asian man and, frankly Mike Park was sick of our constant whining and complaining. So instead a very nice bunch of folks from San Francisco decided they would do their best to deal with us for awhile. We talked to a couple of labels. None seemed right. Didn’t know what to do. This guy Fat Mike called us and asked if we wanted to put out a record on fat and the big hole in the Larry arms boat was stopped with a big cork. Do you consider this to be some sort of recognition from their part, or just a stroke of luck that this chance fell upon you? It’s a stroke of luck. Most things are. Don’t you agree that this album isn’t exactly definable as the typical “Fat Sound”? Yes. I totally agree. However, does it really matter?
